I have tried other Sophie’s Kitchen products, but this was the first time I tried the breaded shrimp. I liked the breaded shrimp. The reading was crunchy and flavorful. The hubby liked it too, but did say that it did not taste like shrimp.
We like all of the Sophie’s Kitchen seafood products that we have tried. Our favorite are the crab cakes. I love serving those with tarter sauce made with vegan mayonnaise and sweet pickle relish. The crab cakes are great on a bun too,
I made cocktail sauce to dunk them in. And I made cole slaw as a side. Th cocktail sauce was just a combination of ketchup and horseradish. The coleslaw was creamy, but with only a little mayonnaise to save on fat and calories.
1 bag shredded cabbage/cole slaw mix
1/4 cup finely chopped onion
3 tablespoons vegan mayonnaise
1 tablespoon cider vinegar
1 teaspoon agave nectar
1/2 teaspoon celery salt
In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise, cider vinegar, agave and celery salt. Place cabbage in a large bowl. Add mayonnaise mixture. Stir well. Let chill for an hour or longer.
