TLT with a grilled potato. That is tempeh bacon, lettuce and tomato on grilled sourdough bread.
I cooked everything on the grill except for the lettuce and tomato. I brushed the bread with a little Earth Balance and put it on the grill for about two minutes on each side. I even grilled the smoked tempeh. I brushed the tempeh with a little maple syrup before tossing it on the grill. The tempeh only took a,few minutes on each side.
To assemble, I smeared the bread with Earth Balance mayo, then a couple of tomato slices, the Tofurky and then the lettuce. The sandwich was served with a grilled potato. I cooked the potato in the microwave until it was almost soft. This took 5 minutes. The potato is then cut in half. Margarine was smeared on the potato, along with a little salt and pepper. The potato was on the grill for 10 minutes.
