3 cloves garlic
1 Tbs vinegar
2 Tbs chili powder
1 cup tvp
1 cup boiling water (a little below 1 cup)
1/4 cup chopped onion
2 Tbs canola or coconut oil
Put tvp in a medium bowl. Add all seasonings and stir well. Add boiling water and stir. Let sit for approximately 10 minutes. Until all of the water is absorbed.
Saute onion in oil in a skillet for approximately 5 minutes. Add the tvp mixture and saute until tvp is browned. Approximately 10 minutes.
Ready to use in a recipe calling for crumbled chorizo.
